The Scottish Environmental Anaesthesia Group newsletter features OHBP mission

Sharon Pfleger (NHS Highland, OHBP steering group member) and Lydia Niemi (OHBP Coordinator) submitted an article for the Scottish Environmental Anaesthesia Group’s (SEAG) autumn newsletter. This newsletter highlights the OHBP and our mission to reduce pharmaceuticals in the environment, alongside articles from green healthcare in primary care and the ambulance service. All articles share the same ethos – highlighting the current environmental challenges faced by the healthcare sector, encouraging cross-sector relationships, and reflecting the importance of progressing healthcare sustainability – especially in light of COP26.

The SEAG will appear at the COP26 Green Zone for two-days of exhibition on November 10-11 during the UN Climate Change Conference at the Glasgow Science Centre (and virtually on the COP26 website) – see page 2 of the newsletter. A truly fantastic outcome for SEAG, and well done! The OHBP plans to (virtually) stop by their exhibition and check out the SEAG showcase on the international stage.

OHBP article: “Pharmaceuticals in the environment: From tables to toilets”, page 7-10.
